Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire Job Title: School Catering Supervisor Start Date: ASAP Salary: Dependent on experience Contract Type: Full-time, permanent, term-time only About the School An established school in Salisbury is looking for a reliable Catering Supervisor to help oversee the daily catering operation. The school is seeking someone who can lead by example, maintain high food safety standards and ensure pupils receive an efficient and welcoming lunchtime service. About the Role Support the day-to-day running of the school kitchen and dining service. Allocate duties and assist with supervising catering staff. Help prepare and serve meals in line with menu requirements. Monitor food hygiene, cleanliness and safe food storage. Assist with stock control, deliveries and ordering supplies. Ensure dietary requirements and allergen procedures are followed. Maintain accurate kitchen records and follow health and safety policies. The Ideal Candidate Previous catering experience is essential, ideally with supervisory responsibilities. Experience in a school, nursery or similar catering environment is highly desirable. Good knowledge of food hygiene and allergen management. Strong organisation and communication skills. Able to work efficiently during busy service periods. A practical, dependable approach to maintaining high standards. An enhanced DBS check will be required in line with the role.
