What would you actually be doing?

Initially, you will be hands-on.

You will undertake measured building surveys, carry out laser scanning, process survey data and take responsibility for producing accurate, high-quality deliverables.

Alongside the technical work, you will have a genuine opportunity to work with the SLT to influence how the business develops, including:

• Selecting and recommending surveying equipment, technology and software.
• Establishing efficient surveying, point-cloud and Scan-to-BIM workflows.
• Managing projects from initial client brief through to final delivery.
• Advising on service offerings, project costs and commercial opportunities.
• Helping develop relationships and grow the external client base.
• Eventually building and leading a team as the business expands.

This isn't an opportunity for someone who simply wants to manage other surveyors from day one.

It's for someone who enjoys the work, knows how to deliver it and wants to build something bigger around it.

Who are we looking for?

You might currently be an experienced Measured Building Surveyor, Geomatics Surveyor, Reality Capture Specialist, Scan-to-BIM professional, Survey Manager or someone operating a small surveying consultancy.

Your job title, qualifications and career path are less important than what you can actually do.

The essential requirement is proven hands-on measured building surveying experience, including the ability and willingness to undertake site surveys and take responsibility for the technical delivery.

Experience in the following would be valuable…

• Measured building surveys and 3D laser scanning.
• Leica, FARO, Trimble or equivalent surveying equipment.
• Point-cloud registration, processing and quality assurance.
• Revit (+ AutoCAD) and Scan-to-BIM workflows.
• Producing accurate plans, elevations, sections and 3D models.
• Managing survey projects, clients, costs and deliverables.

We're deliberately not prescribing a particular scanner, software package or methodology.

In fact, if you believe there's a better way to do something, we want to hear it.

Just as importantly, you will have the initiative, commercial curiosity and entrepreneurial drive to help shape a new venture.

Perhaps you've introduced new technology, improved processes, developed client relationships or considered starting your own business.

Perhaps you're simply an ambitious surveyor who knows you could achieve more with the right opportunity.
