Forward Deployed Engineer

Strativ are working with a well-funded, fast-growing technology company that builds intelligent systems for demanding, safety-critical environments and we are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their engineering team in London.

The role

You will be the technical face of the software in the field: working closely with customers to understand their requirements, supporting deployment and making sure integration goes smoothly. You’ll also work with engineering teams to build and test new capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Deploying on site with customers (around 30% travel)
• Becoming an expert in the enterprise software stack and its modules
• Training and supporting customers, and debugging software and API integration issues
• Building applications with the software development kit
• Supporting the sales team with demos, conferences and immersions
• Helping with post-sales deployment and integration
• Creating technical documentation and training materials
• Feeding customer insight back to product engineering

Skills Required:

• Strong software engineering background
• Strong proficiency in modern C++
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in aerospace, autonomy or robotics
• Background as a solutions, application or sales engineer
• Experience in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
• Advanced degree in robotics or a related field
