Senior C++ Engineer - Hedge Fund

A leading global hedge fund is hiring Senior C++ Engineers to join its London technology team. You’ll design and build the high-performance systems behind the firm’s trading, research and risk platforms. Your work will have a direct, measurable impact on how the business trades and grows.

What you’ll do

• Design, build and optimise low-latency, high-throughput systems in modern C++
• Work closely with portfolio managers, quants and researchers to turn ideas into production-ready trading infrastructure
• Own components end to end, from architecture and design through testing, deployment and support
• Profile and tune performance across CPU, memory, networking and concurrency
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, mentoring and best practice

What we’re looking for

• Strong commercial experience in modern C++ (C++17/20) on Linux
• A deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, multithreading and systems design
• A track record of building performance-critical systems, in finance, big tech, gaming or similar
• A strong academic background in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or Engineering
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach
• Nice to have: experience in electronic trading, market data or exchange connectivity; Python for tooling or research

Finance experience is not essential. Exceptional engineers from outside the industry are encouraged to apply.
