School Cleaner – Birmingham | Permanent

Location: Birmingham Start: ASAP Contract: Permanent Hours: 12.5 hours per week, all year round Working pattern: Afternoons, 15:10–17:40. Morning shifts, 05:30–08:00, may also be considered. Salary: Grade 1, SCP 3 (indicative) A school in Birmingham is looking for a reliable Cleaner to support the day-to-day upkeep of its premises. The successful candidate will help ensure that learning spaces and shared facilities are clean, hygienic and ready for use. Key Responsibilities Complete scheduled cleaning duties across the school. Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas. Remove litter and waste safely. Replenish washroom supplies and notify the supervisor of low stock. Handle cleaning materials and equipment safely. Clean and store equipment correctly after use. Report any faults, damage or potential hazards. Support the wider cleaning team when cover is needed. What We’re Looking For A dependable, organised and thorough individual. Good attention to detail and pride in their work. The ability to follow instructions and health and safety procedures. A flexible approach and willingness to work as part of a team. Previous cleaning experience is an advantage, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
