HR Advisor

We are working with a professional services business in Darlington who is looking to recruit an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a varied, client-facing role suited to an experienced HR professional who is confident managing employee relations cases, providing practical advice and building strong client relationships. * Providing HR advice and guidance to clients across a range of employment matters * Managing disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, redundancies and performance management cases * Conducting meetings and investigations and preparing formal outcomes * Advising clients on current and changing employment legislation * Creating and reviewing HR policies, procedures, contracts and employee documentation * Preparing and issuing HR documentation including offer letters and contracts * Maintaining accurate client records and documentation * Attending client strategy meetings and providing HR advice * Building and maintaining strong client relationships * Proactively arranging client reviews and identifying opportunities to develop existing relationships * Managing multiple cases and priorities while working to tight deadlines * At least 5 years' HR experience, with strong employee relations experience * Proven experience managing disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, redundancies and performance management * Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation * Experience creating, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures * Experience using HRIS systems, ideally BreatheHR * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * The confidence to influence and challenge stakeholders when required * Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage your own workload * Excellent attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality * A proactive, commercially aware approach to client relationships * A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the North East (required) * CIPD level 5 or above (required) * 33,000 – £35,000 salary * Company events * Employee discount platform * Employee Assistance Programme * Free on-site parking If you're an experienced HR professional looking for a varied, autonomous role where you can use your expertise to support a range of clients, apply today or contact Katie Kendall at our Northallerton office for further info.
