Key responsibilities

• Carry out deliveries and collections safely and efficiently • Complete vehicle checks before, during and after each shift • Secure loads correctly and ensure goods are transported safely • Follow planned routes, delivery instructions and relevant transport procedures • Complete delivery paperwork and tachograph records accurately • Provide professional, courteous service at delivery locations • Report vehicle defects, delays or incidents promptly • Maintain high standards of safety and compliance at all times

Skills and qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence • Current Driver CPC qualification • Digital tachograph card • Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience • Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations • Reliable, punctual and professional approach • Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules • Good communication and organisational skills • Physically able to carry out routine loading and unloading duties where required
