The role

An opportunity is available for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy driving operation on a temporary, day-shift basis. You will be responsible for making deliveries safely and on time while providing a professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle in line with road safety and legal requirements • Completing delivery routes across Leicester and surrounding areas • Loading, securing and unloading goods safely • Delivering products using a curtainside vehicle • Carrying out handball deliveries, including moving goods at customer locations • Completing delivery paperwork and vehicle checks • Maintaining high standards of safety, care and professionalism

Skills and qualifications

• A valid HGV Class 2 licence • Driver CPC qualification and a digital tachograph card • Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience • Experience operating curtainside vehicles • Comfortable carrying out handball deliveries • Good knowledge of road safety and drivers' hours regulations • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently • Professional manner and good customer service skills • Physically fit for regular lifting and handling duties
