What You'll Be Doing

  • Working closely with the Mechanical Package Manager, subcontractors, engineers, and other trade leads to drive progress and maintain alignment with project milestones.
  • Managing the mechanical programme, monitoring progress, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions to maintain delivery targets.
  • Overseeing mechanical quality assurance and quality control processes, ensuring installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, and project standards.
  • Coordinating mechanical design and technical queries, resolving site issues, and managing interfaces with electrical, CSA, and other building services packages.
  • Supervising subcontractor performance, workforce coordination, material deliveries, and plant requirements to ensure efficient site operations.
  • Monitoring mechanical installation quality, ensuring inspections, testing, commissioning preparation, and documentation are completed in line with project requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures, method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work requirements across all mechanical activities.
  • Attending and contributing to site meetings, engineering reviews, planning sessions, coordination meetings, and client meetings as required.
  • Driving snagging, defects resolution, and project close-out, including O&M manuals, QA records, commissioning documentation, and handover deliverables.

What They're Looking For

  • A relevant mechanical engineering qualification or strong industry experience in a similar mechanical leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading mechanical installations on complex construction projects, ideally within the mission-critical Data Centre sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services, with experience coordinating installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Demonstrable experience managing subcontractors, coordinating site teams, and driving programme and quality performance.
  • A good understanding of QA/QC procedures, health and safety requirements, technical documentation, and project close-out processes.
  • Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard construction project management systems.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with fluency in English.
  • Flexibility to work internationally and commit to a site-based role in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to lead teams and perform effectively under pressure.

Why Apply?

With a competitive package, accommodation, flights, and opportunities for career progression, this role offers the chance to take the next step in your mechanical construction career.
