Business Analyst - ITSM Project

  • Fully remote
  • Immediate start
  • 6 month inital contract, could extend
  • INSIDE IR35

Role overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to own the requirements and functional design for Phase 3 of a Halo ITSM implementation, moving Internal IT from ServiceNow to Halo. They will report to the Phase 3 Project Manager and work alongside the Test Lead, Change Lead, the Service Architect and the business owners for each area in scope.

Purpose and context

Phase 3 has a wide group of stakeholders and business owners, each with their own priorities. A set of requirements already exists. The BA will act as the requirements owner, they will build them out and keep the project accountable to them.

The Phase 3 BA owns the requirements and the Functional Design Document (FDD). They work in partnership with the PM. The BA spots and documents scope change, and the PM manages it through change control.

Key responsibilities

Requirements ownership

  • Take ownership of the existing Phase 3 requirements and lead their build-out independently
  • Keep the project team and stakeholders focused on the critical requirements, and challenge nice-to-haves that put delivery at risk
  • Support stakeholders and business owners to collate the build data Halo needs, such as services, categories, teams, routing and approval rules, and asset data
  • Add detail to the post-Phase 3 requirements list so deferred items are ready to pick up in a future phase
