Senior Claims Specialist Natural Resources & Construction

We are recruiting for a Senior Claims Specialist, Construction & Natural Resources on behalf of aleading London Market insurer.
The Senior Claims Specialist will manage Construction and Natural Resources claims, with a primary focus on the Inherent Defects Construction book of business, ensuring claims are handled efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining peer level relationships with brokers.
- Managing a portfolio of clients, as well as being the main entry point for all their claims.
- Handling from FNOL to conclusion claims of varying degrees of complexity and value,incl. reporting and referrals.
- Training and developing the team and acting as a technical referral point for other ClaimsHandlers.
- Collaborating with Underwriting, Operations and Global teams.
- Participating in IT/digital projects to share technical insights as a Subject MatterExpert.
Key Requirements
- Specialisedunderstanding of Construction claims.
- Experiencehandling Inherent Defect claims is advantageous.
- Anunderstanding of Natural Resources claims is advantageous but not essential.
- Detailedunderstanding of the insurance markets and competitor landscape.
- Asolid understanding of coverage principles, products, wordings, terms, andconditions.
- Understandingof relevant reserving, legal framework, processes, guidelines, and litigationmanagement.
- Wellrecognised relationship building with brokers at peer group level.
- Abilityto effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyse, study,and examine data in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions.
- Ability to integrate AI-driven insights into work to optimiseoutcomes and support broader organisational goals.
- CIIqualifications are advantageous.
