Reception Manager – New Opening, Covent Garden
- Full-time
Reception Manager
Wright Brothers Covent Garden | New Opening
Be part of something new
As we prepare to open our new restaurant in Covent
Garden, we're looking for an experienced Reception Manager to help shape the
guest experience from day one.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in
the next chapter of Wright Brothers, bringing together our expertise in
exceptional seafood with a more elevated approach to hospitality, a deeper
appreciation of our produce and a considered approach to every detail of the
guest journey.
We're looking for someone who takes real pride in
their craft, understands the power of genuine guest relationships and knows how
to combine exceptional hospitality with commercial performance. Someone who can
lead a team, create memorable experiences and help build a restaurant that
feels fresh and distinctive, yet unmistakably Wright Brothers in its warmth,
character and love of great seafood and good times.
Our Story
For over 20 years, Wright Brothers has been passionate
about sourcing and serving exceptional seafood. What began with our
co-founders, Ben Wright and Robin Hancock, selling oysters has grown into
Wright Brothers Wholesale, supplying more than 750 restaurants across the UK, a
collection of much-loved London restaurants and Wright Brothers at Home, our
online fishmonger.
In 2024, we established the Wright Brothers Sea Change
Foundation to support projects that protect our oceans, promote sustainability
and champion the coastal communities that depend on them.
Our philosophy is simple: work hard, be nice to people
and be kind to our planet. We believe in great seafood, genuine hospitality and
bringing good people together.
The Role
At Wright Brothers, we
believe great hospitality is built on genuine relationships. As Reception
Manager, you'll lead our reservations and guest experience function, setting
the tone for every guest's visit and helping establish the standards that will
define our new Covent Garden restaurant.
Combining outstanding
guest care with strong commercial awareness, you'll oversee reservations, VIP
experiences and guest relationships while leading and developing the reception
team. Working closely with restaurant management, you'll help maximise covers,
encourage repeat visits and create memorable experiences that keep guests
coming back.
What You'll Do
- Lead, support and develop the reception team,
setting high standards of service and guest care. - Oversee reservations across SevenRooms, OpenTable
and other booking channels, optimising table allocation, pacing and
availability to maximise covers and revenue. - Own VIP experiences, special occasions and guest
preferences, building relationships with regular guests and key clients. - Monitor booking trends, cancellations, guest
spend and performance reports to identify commercial opportunities. - Maintain accurate guest profiles and CRM data,
using insights to personalise experiences and encourage guest retention. - Handle guest feedback, complaints and service
recovery with professionalism and care. - Oversee group bookings, private events and PDR
reservations, ensuring a seamless experience from enquiry to arrival. - Work closely with restaurant management and
operational teams to maintain clear communication and consistently high
standards.
What We're
Looking For
- Supervisory or management experience in a premium
restaurant or hospitality environment. - Strong knowledge of reservation systems, ideally
SevenRooms and OpenTable. - Experience managing VIP guests, personalising
experiences and building lasting relationships. - Commercial awareness, including an understanding
of covers, revenue optimisation and repeat business. - Excellent leadership, communication and
organisational skills. - A polished, professional approach and a genuine
passion for exceptional hospitality. - A natural eye for detail and the ability to make
every guest feel recognised, valued and well looked after.
The Wright
Benefits
- Staff meals on shift and unlimited coffee.
- Discounted food and drinks when dining in our
restaurants. - Hastee Pay, offering access to earned wages when
you need them. - Employee referral scheme.
- Development opportunities, including WSET Levels
1, 2 and 3. - Supplier trips and industry learning experiences.
- Discounted wine.
- And, of course, a party or two.
