Electronics Buyer

Proven experience in a Buyer or similar procurement-focused role within a manufacturing environment. A leading advanced technology and logistics business are currently recruiting for a Buyer on a full-time, permanent basis in Wallingford. Role - Buyer Type - Permanent Location - South Oxford (hybrid 3 days on site after probation) Salary - £50,000 + benefits Key responsibilities for the Buyer will include and will not be limited to: * Create and manage purchase orders for electronic components, and outsourced assemblies in line with production schedules * Liaise with suppliers to confirm order acknowledgements, delivery dates, and shipment details * Expedite or defer orders to align with changing demand and production priorities * Monitor supplier performance across delivery and responsiveness, escalating issues where required * Collaborate with planning, production, and warehouse teams to support material availability and inventory accuracy * Track and resolve supply issues including shortages, delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies * Support onboarding of new suppliers and contract manufacturers by setting up transactional purchasing processes Key skills and experience required for Buyer job applicant and will not be limited to: * Experience in electronic component purchasing * Strong supplier communication skills with a practical, problem-solving approach to delivery and supply issues * Abil...
