Job Details

Your new company
A uniquely positioned financial services organisation is looking to appoint a Tax Manager into its Financial Reporting & Control team in Leeds. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-profile institution with significant tax and reporting responsibilities, offering exposure to complex tax matters within the banking sector.

Your new role
As Tax Manager, you will play a key role in managing corporation tax reporting and compliance activities, including year-end tax reporting and disclosures, corporation tax returns and R&D tax credit claims. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you will act as a trusted technical specialist, translating complex tax matters into clear commercial advice.

This position is highly visible within the organisation and offers the opportunity to become the lead tax presence in the Leeds office, whilst collaborating with wider tax and finance teams across the UK.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified with strong tax accounting and corporation tax reporting experience. Previous banking or wider financial services tax experience is essential, alongside a strong understanding of corporate tax compliance.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of R&D tax credits, Alphatax and advanced Excel skills. This role would suit someone who is technically strong, commercially aware and confident communicating complex tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders. Candidates moving from industry or those with a combination of practice and industry experience will be particularly well suited.

What you'll get in return
You'll join a collaborative and highly respected organisation offering hybrid and flexible working arrangements, an excellent pension scheme, bonus potential, private medical cover and a comprehensive benefits package. You'll gain exposure totechnically challenging work, senior stakeholder interaction and the opportunity to develop your career within a complex and evolving financial services environment.
