Job Title: Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Location: East Of England

\n

Rate: £90 - £100 per hour

\n

Contract Type: Locum (short-term and long-term assignments available)

\n

Start Date: ASAP - January 2027

\n

Between the hours of 08:00 & 17:30, Monday to Friday

\n

* We are seeking a candidate who has confidence in working in both obstetrics and gynaecology, and able to manage emergency procedures for both specialities.
\n * We are not currently anticipating that this candidate will cover on calls out of core hours.
\n * We would anticipate the in-week job plan to include:
\n o Covering emergency Gynaecology daytime rota - overseeing our Gynaecology ward and emergency pathways (including early pregnancy)
\n o Labour Ward On Call, including overseeing emergency procedures
\n o Planned elective C Section list each week.
\n o Gynaecology theatres - planned session plus ad hoc cover for sessions released by other consultant annual leave
\n o Scan and Pipelle Clinic weekly

About the Role

As a locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, you'll provide expert care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.

• Supporting junior doctors and clinical staff
\n
• Contributing to service development and audits
\n

\n

\n

What We're Looking For

\n

Essential:

\n

\n
• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
\n
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
\n
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
\n
• UK Right to Work
\n
• Strong communication and teamworking skills
\n

Desirable:

\n

\n
• CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (or within 6 months of achieving it)
\n

\n
