Pay Rate: 37.41 per hour umbrella

Summary

• This is a 5-month contract position with a local authority offering a pay rate of 37.41 per hour under an umbrella arrangement. The Programme Manager will spearhead the creation and execution of the South-East London Fostering Hub. This initiative is a collaborative effort among multiple authorities aimed at enhancing the recruitment approval and retention of foster carers in the region. The role focuses on establishing a regional fostering programme that not only increases the number and diversity of foster carers but also improves outcomes for children by providing stable local family placements.
  

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup and execution of the South-East London Fostering Hub.
  
• Develop and oversee programme initiation project plans milestones governance structures and delivery frameworks.
  
• Coordinate various workstreams to ensure projects are completed on time within scope and meet agreed outcomes.
  
• Monitor programme performance and regularly report progress to senior leadership and governance boards.
  

Requirements:

Experience

• Extensive experience managing complex programmes or projects within Childrens Services local government or a similar public sector environment.
  
• Demonstrated success in delivering transformational change and service improvement programmes.
  
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and partnership organisations.
  

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  
• Strong understanding of programme and project management methodologies.
  
• Familiarity with local authority structures and service delivery environments.
  

Additional Information

• Working hours are 35 hours per week.
  
• The role is primarily office-based with the option to work from home up to 2 days per week depending on engagement and work requirements with the local authority partnership.
  
• Payments are made bi-weekly.
