Production Supervisor

URGENTLY looking for a Production Supervisor for meat company in Potton, Sandy.

To lead a shift team in your area so that every production plan is completed safely, legally, to specification and on time. Working under the direction of the Senior Supervisor, you are the first line of leadership on the floor. You set up the area, knows its machines , hold the team to our standards and procedures, and flag problems early, before they become failures.

Previous experience in food manufacturing is essential; experience in cooked meat or High Risk production will set you apart.

Essential
• At least [2] years' experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience leading people as a supervisor, team leader or line leader.
• Working knowledge of food safety, HACCP and CCPs, allergen control and GMP.
• Good understanding of health and safety in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanically minded, with the drive to learn every machine in the area.
• Confident with numbers, production paperwork and basic IT (email, Excel).
• Clear spoken and written English, and the ability to communicate with a multilingual team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, overtime and weekends when production requires.

Desirable
• Experience in cooked meat, slow-cooked or sous vide production.
• Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene for Manufacturing.
• Level 2 or 3 HACCP.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
