Key Information Position: Science Teacher Location: Coventry Contract: Full-time Start date: ASAP Teaching levels: KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 opportunities About the Role The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging Science lessons that bring Biology, Chemistry and Physics to life. You will encourage students to investigate scientific concepts, develop analytical thinking and apply their knowledge through practical activities and classroom discussions. Responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum. Explaining scientific concepts clearly and adapting teaching to different learning needs. Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback. Organising practical investigations while maintaining appropriate safety standards. Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment. Monitoring achievement and providing additional support where necessary. Collaborating with colleagues to share resources and strengthen departmental teaching. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Strong subject knowledge in Science, with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics welcomed. Effective classroom management and communication skills. The ability to make lessons engaging, accessible and challenging. A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and continuous professional development.
