This role is offered on a bank (0-hour) contract. There are no guaranteed hours, and shifts will be offered depending on business needs. You can accept or decline shifts based on your availability, making this a flexible option, but it may not be suitable if you are seeking consistent or full-time hours.

What you'll be doing
As our Bank Theatre HCA, you will be:

  • Promoting patient dignity, comfort and wellbeing at all times.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
  • Contributing to quality improvement, clinical governance and risk management activities.
  • Working collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary theatre team.

What we'll look for in you
With your experience of working as a HCA or within a caring environment, you will also have:

  • Good standard of literacy.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
  • A caring, compassionate and empathetic approach to patients and relatives.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work within agreed boundaries.
  • A flexible and positive attitude towards learning and development.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Operating Department Support, desirable.

What you can expect in return

  • A bank rate of £14.06 per hour
  • Flexible shifts to suit your availability
  • Opportunity to work within a high performing clinical team
  • Supportive working environment focused on quality patient care
  • The chance to make a real difference to patients and colleagues alike
