Mechanical Assembly Technician

Semi-Skilled Fitter Location: Trafford Park Salary: £17.00 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience Shift: 2-shift system, with flexibility to work 3 shifts when required We are currently looking for a Semi-Skilled Fitter to join our busy manufacturing team based in Trafford Park. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who has gained practical experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment and is confident using a range of hand tools and workshop equipment. You don't necessarily need to be a fully qualified fitter. We are looking for someone with a good mechanical aptitude, practical skills and a willingness to learn. The Role As a Semi-Skilled Fitter, your duties will include: * Carrying out fitting, assembly and mechanical work * Using a range of hand and workshop tools * Using torque wrenches to specified settings * Operating shot blasting equipment * Using presses and other workshop machinery * Stripping down, inspecting and reassembling components * Following engineering drawings, instructions and specifications * Checking completed work to ensure it meets quality standards * Maintaining a clean and safe working environment * Working as part of a busy manufacturing team About You We are looking for someone who: * Has previous hands-on experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment ...
