Job description

What we’re looking for

As part of this role you will be a strategic advisor to the business, improving business performance in alignment with the LR-wide People Strategy, through close partnership with the business leadership team. You will also be accountable for delivery of people and cyclical activity, supported by People Advisory and People Centres of Excellence (CoEs).

What we offer you

The opportunity to work for an organization that has a clear sense of purpose, is guided by its values and helps colleagues to develop professionally and personally through our range of people development programmes

Full-time

The role

  • Act as Leadership Partner and Strategic Advisor: partner closely with, and help shape, the business leadership team, defining and delivering a strategic people plan that improves business performance by connecting people-related initiatives to business strategy and needs.
  • Contribute to the LR-wide people strategy: work in squads across the people function to help shape and design people solutions aligned to the people strategy, providing thought leadership and contributing as a squad member or sprint lead.
  • Support implementation of business strategy: align the people strategy with the business strategy to meet commercial objectives, identifying critical business-unit gaps and progressing requirements through governance channels.
  • Act as a People Strategy Advocate: promote the people strategy, culture, vision, and values while encouraging self-service and highlighting the value of leader-led action and decision-making.
  • Oversee delivery of Core People Solutions: take accountability for the delivery of all cyclical people-related activity, including performance, reward, employee development and succession planning across respective business units.
  • Collaborate with CoEs to advance the people agenda, working closely with them to improve service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Leverage technology and data by using relevant tools and understanding their business impact to encourage digital adoption, analyze data trends, and generate people insights that guide timely action and track outcomes.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning: develop and activate a strategic workforce plan that identifies strategic capabilities needed to help the business reach its objectives, working with CoEs on action plans and solutions.
  • Champion inclusion: apply an inclusion and wellbeing mindset at all times, raising awareness of people-leader responsibilities and supporting the build of an engaged and diverse talent pipeline.
  • Manage Employee Relations: provide counsel to senior leadership on complex and high-risk matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legal requirements to mitigate reputational, legal and financial risks.
  • Support Business Change: work with the business to identify opportunities or the need for organisational change, connecting with Employee Relations to support preparation and delivery of business change programmes, including people impact analysis, and contributing to TUPE transfers, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures as they arise.
  • Activate Capability: keep key contributors visible and take purposeful action to support their growth, with development plans set at the right level and put into motion.
  • Focus on People Experience: maintain a people-centric approach with awareness of social impact and current affairs, always focused on providing a high-quality experience for colleagues.

What you bring

  • Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Previous work experience as an HR Business Partner, including exposure to a multinational organization.
  • Well-developed people management skills.
  • Demonstrable experience with talent management, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of labor law and experience addressing employee relations matters.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communicator who can craft clear, persuasive messages and adjust tone and style for the intended audience.
  • Personable, organized and open.
  • Creative approach to problem solving.
  • Experienced in efficiently balancing multiple tasks at any given time.
