Location: Field-based (projects across Birmingham to Bristol corridor with South Wales coverage) Paid travel
Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: £16.50-£19.00ph dependent on experience
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Drainage Surveyor to join our clients growing team, specialising in Section 104 (S104) pre-adoption drainage surveys. You will play a key role in inspecting, assessing, and verifying newly constructed sewer systems prior to adoption by water authorities.
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical drainage knowledge, hands-on surveying experience, and a solid understanding of adoptable sewer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out S104 pre-adoption CCTV drainage surveys and inspections
- Assess new sewer installations against adoption standards (e.g. water company requirements)
- Produce accurate, detailed survey reports and defect logs
- Liaise with developers, contractors, and engineers on-site
- Identify non-compliance issues and recommend remedial actions
- Ensure all survey data is correctly recorded and submitted in line with industry standards
- Operate CCTV drainage equipment and related surveying technology
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Drainage Surveyor or CCTV Drainage Technician
- Strong working knowledge of S104 sewer adoption processes and standards
- Experience producing high-quality technical reports
- Competence using CCTV drainage inspection systems and reporting software (e.g. WinCan or similar)
- Understanding of adoptable sewer construction and defect identification
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently xwwtmva on-site
Desirable
- NRSWA Streetworks accreditation
- Confined Spaces certification
- CSCS card
- Experience working with developers or water authority adoption teams
