CDM Principal Designer

A multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to recruit an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join its team, delivering CDM and health and safety services across the North West and Midlands, with occasional travel outside of the area. You will plan, manage, monitor and coordinate health and safety during the pre-construction phase, identifying, eliminating or controlling foreseeable risks and ensuring designers fulfil their duties under CDM 2015. You will manage your own portfolio of projects, acting as the key point of contact between clients, design teams, Principal Contractors and other project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities * Undertake the CDM Principal Designer role in accordance with CDM 2015. * Advise clients on their duties and responsibilities under CDM 2015. * Plan, manage, monitor and coordinate health and safety during the pre-construction phase. * Identify, eliminate and manage foreseeable design and construction risks. * Coordinate design risk reviews and work with designers to reduce risks so far as reasonably practicable. * Prepare and review Pre-Construction Information and coordinate the preparation of Health and Safety Files. * Monitor designers' compliance with their CDM duties. * Provide CDM and health and safety advice to clients and project teams. * Review Construction Phase Plans, risk assessments and method statements as part of the wider CDM advisory service. ...
