About the School
A well-regarded school in Devizes is looking for a practical and safety-conscious Premises and Health & Safety Assistant to support the site team. The school needs someone who can help maintain a safe environment, keep inspection records up to date and ensure that maintenance issues are reported and addressed promptly.
About the Role
You will assist with routine premises duties and the administration of health and safety procedures across the school site.
Key responsibilities include:
Completing routine site inspections and recording any concerns.
Reporting maintenance issues and monitoring outstanding repairs.
Assisting with health and safety records, checks and documentation.
Supporting contractor access and ensuring relevant procedures are followed.
Helping maintain safe, tidy buildings and outdoor areas.
Assisting with emergency equipment checks and general site administration.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous premises, facilities or health and safety support experience.
School or public-sector building experience is advantageous.
Good awareness of workplace safety and maintenance procedures.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A practical, reliable approach and the confidence to report concerns promptly.
An enhanced DBS check will be required in line with the role.
