Mechanical Design Engineer

Working as a Mechanical Design Engineer for Dover Precision Components, you will be responsible for the design of our Inpro/Seal product line, through the use of CAD (SolidWorks). You will be responsible for 3D and 2D drawings and tolerancing according to design standards, working work with the sales team, distributors and customers to understand and interpret design requirements and create designs that meet those requirements. You will also perform checking duties related to assembly and component drawings, part structures (BOM’s) and item specific information for accuracy of design intent and application specification information. Participating in and contributing to process improvement and design for manufacturability (DFM) activities as well as in the development and implementation of company-wide design standards and practices that reflect industry best practices and improved efficiency. What You Will Bring * HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar * Work experience in an engineered product environment covering machining and 3D CAD product design (SolidWorks preferred) * Experience with rotating equipment or ccompnents thereof, such as turbines, pumps, compressors, generators, motors or gearboxes * Strong understanding of Engineering Principles and Design Practices * Demonstrated ability to apply continuous improvement techniques to existing processes and procedures * Strong computer skills a...
