Role: Year 2 Class Teacher Location: Maldon, Essex Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: January 2027 Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience A friendly primary school in Maldon is seeking a committed Year 2 Teacher to support pupils as they consolidate their learning and prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2. The school is looking for someone who can deliver engaging lessons, build strong relationships and create a positive classroom culture. The Role Take responsibility for a Year 2 class. Plan and deliver lessons in line with the primary curriculum. Develop pupils’ reading, writing, mathematics and wider learning skills. Monitor attainment and use assessment to plan next steps. Work with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupils’ progress. The Candidate Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Has experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or is confident teaching Year 2. Can establish clear routines and positive behaviour expectations. Uses differentiated teaching to meet pupils’ individual needs. Communicates effectively with parents and colleagues.
