3 Month Contract
Rate: £550 - £650 per day (Inside IR35)
We are recruiting for an experienced Finance Transformation Business Analyst to support a major programme of finance and sales process improvement within a large, established organisation.
This is a business-facing, technically focused role that will sit at the intersection of Finance, Go-to-Market (GTM)/Sales and IT, supporting the implementation and optimisation of systems and processes that underpin the end-to-end sales lifecycle.
A key focus will be understanding how sales processes, deal configuration and pricing decisions impact financial accounting, particularly IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
The successful candidate will bring strong Business Analysis experience, a solid understanding of finance and commercial processes, and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Finance, Sales/GTM and IT stakeholders to understand existing processes, identify challenges and define improvements.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of deal configuration and sales processes, ensuring alignment with finance and revenue recognition requirements.
- Analyse end-to-end sales processes, including deal configuration, pricing, contracting and their downstream financial implications.
- Gather, challenge and document business and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops and process-mapping exercises.
- Understand and document requirements relating to IFRS 15 revenue recognition and the associated finance processes.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, process maps and integration requirements.
- Work with technical teams to define system integrations, data flows and opportunities for automation.
- Engage with senior business stakeholders, managing competing priorities and building consensus across Finance, Sales and IT.
- Support testing, business readiness and the successful delivery of system and process improvements.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering finance transformation, finance systems or commercially focused change programmes.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Sales/GTM processes and how these interact with Finance.
- Knowledge of IFRS 15 revenue recognition, including the financial implications of sales contracts, pricing and deal structures.
- Experience analysing and improving business processes across multiple functions, ideally Finance, Sales and IT.
- Excellent requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation skills.
- Demonstrable experience engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong technical understanding, including the ability to work with systems, integrations and data flows.
- Commercial awareness, financial acumen and the ability to challenge existing processes and requirements.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM/sales platforms.
- Exposure to ERP systems and finance systems integration projects.
- Experience implementing or optimising deal configuration, pricing or quote-to-cash solutions.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Knowledge of financial data migration, reconciliation or system integration processes.
- Experience working in complex, multi-entity or enterprise environments.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst who enjoys working across both commercial and financial functions, translating complex business challenges into practical, technology-enabled solutions.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience of finance transformation alongside a strong understanding of sales processes and IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
