Senior Highway Engineer
London
6-month contract
£300 - £350 per day, inside IR35
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Highway Engineer, with experience in highway design and construction to join a busy client in London. This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £300 - £350 per day. Flexible working arrangements are available.
Key Responsibilities
- To lead the pre-construction, construction and delivery phases of highways, traffic and transport infrastructure projects
- Receive projects that have been developed through the Project Development Team and will take ownership of schemes during detailed design finalisation, construction package preparation and delivery.
- Responsible for ensuring designs are fully coordinated, technically compliant, cost-effective and ready for construction before overseeing all aspects of project delivery through the construction phase to substantial completion and handover.
- Provide technical leadership, project management, contractor management and construction oversight across a diverse portfolio of highways and public realm schemes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget and in accordance with Council objectives, statutory requirements and best practice.
