Head of Merchandising | Build the function from scratch £70,000 - £90,000 | London | Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 from home The Opportunity: Close to £100 million in turnover, and they've never had a merchandise planning function. That's the opportunity here. Our client is a specialist brand growing exponentially across D2C, wholesale and distribution. The business has outgrown the way it currently plans, and they're looking for a Head of Merchandising to put the foundations in place and build the function around them. This is a rare chance to shape how a fast-growing global brand plans, buys and trades, with the autonomy to do it your way. The Role: You'll be hands-on from day one, setting up the systems, processes and disciplines that don't yet exist, then growing the team as the function matures. You will: * Establish merchandise planning from the ground up, including OTB, stock planning, forecasting and replenishment * Select and implement the tools, systems and reporting needed to plan across D2C, wholesale and distributors * Balance stock and availability across multiple channels, protecting margin and cash while supporting rapid growth * Partner closely with the senior leadership team, giving them clear, commercial insight to guide decisions * Build and lead a merchandising team over time, defining the structure, hiring the right people and developing them * Influence the direction of the business globally About You: * Proven merchandising or merchandise planning experience, ideally in a growing or scaling business * Comfortable rolling your sleeves up: you're as happy building the spreadsheet as presenting the plan * Experience of setting up or significantly improving planning processes and systems * Understanding of multichannel trading, ideally across D2C and wholesale * Commercially sharp, with the confidence to challenge and influence at senior level * Ambition to build and lead a team as the function grows What's On Offer: * Salary of £70,000 - £90,000 * Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 from home * A genuine blank canvas, with real autonomy and ownership * Clear growth potential as the function and business scale * The chance to have a global impact on a brand with serious momentum BH37703 JBRP1_UKTJ
