Merchandise Manager

We are recruiting a Merchandising Manager to join a growing fashion brand.

Reporting to the COO, you will lead the merchandising function, ensuring the business has the right products and stock levels to maximise sales and profitability. This is a hands-on role covering planning, trading, stock management and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead seasonal planning, sales forecasting and stock management across all product categories.
• Manage the Open-to-Buy budget, keeping buying plans aligned with sales and margin targets.
• Work closely with Buying to develop balanced, commercially successful ranges.
• Review weekly trading performance and recommend repeats, markdowns and stock actions.
• Plan deliveries, allocation and replenishment to support product launches, promotions and stores.
• Manage stock levels to improve sell-through, protect margin and reduce excess inventory.
• Improve merchandising processes, reporting and systems as the business grows.
• Work closely with Buying, Ecommerce, Finance and Operations.
• Support and develop junior team members.
• Present clear commercial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

About You

• Proven merchandising experience within fashion retail.
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence managing sales, stock and margin.
• Excellent analytical and Excel skills.
• Experience in forecasting, range planning, budgeting and trading.
• A practical approach, with the ability to balance planning and day-to-day delivery.
• Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and working across teams.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior colleagues.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced business.
