Position: Sheet Metal / CAD Engineer Location: Andover, Hampshire Salary: £40,000-£44,000 per annum Working Arrangement: Workshop-based with CAD work Employment Type: Permanent Sheet Metal / CAD Engineer Job Overview The Sheet Metal / CAD Engineer is required for our client, an engineering and manufacturing company based in Andover, Hampshire. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced sheet metal worker who can also use CAD software. The successful candidate will be involved in sheet metal manufacturing processes, including operating press brakes and guillotine machinery, welding and preparing drawings for laser cutting. The role would suit someone with a strong practical background in sheet metal fabrication who is also comfortable working with CAD drawings to support the manufacturing process. Job Requirements Previous hands-on experience in sheet metal work and fabrication. CAD skills and the ability to work with engineering drawings. Experience with press brake machinery. Welding experience. Experience operating guillotine machines. Ability to prepare and send drawings for laser cutting. A practical, workshop-focused approach to manufacturing. CNC experience may be useful but is not a substitute for direct sheet metal experience.
