Job Title: Section Engineer Site Office Location: Located near AB42 3ED (approx. 6 miles / 12-minute drive west of Peterhead Town Centre). Convenient access from the A90 and Longside Road. Shift hours: 7 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday. The first 42 hours are paid at the normal rate; everything after that is paid at 1.25. Candidates are also required to work one Saturday a month from 7am to 13:00 pm Pay rate: £360 - £390 day rate inside IR35 Role Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join our project delivery team near Peterhead. In this role, you will lead engineering controls, quality management, health and safety standards, productivity tracking, and commercial reporting across site operations. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Setting Out: Carry out complex setting out, establish primary setting out control, and mentor junior engineering staff on setting out techniques. Quality Assurance: Produce Activity Control Plans (ACPs), maintain comprehensive quality records, monitor construction tolerances, and raise/manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Technical Queries (TQs). Health, Safety & Environment: Prepare Method Statements, Risk Assessments (RAMS), and Temporary Works Briefs; manage Permits to Work; and conduct short-term visitor inductions.
