Area Sales Manager – Plumbing Job Title: Regional Sales Manager – Plumbing Merchants Industry Sector: Plumbing fittings, accessories, valves, waste pipes, guttering, plumbers merchants, builders merchants, distribution Area to be covered: Area Sales Manager – South East, North London, East London, and Essex (SG, CB, IP, N, E, IG, RM, EC, NR, CO, CM, SS & RM postcodes) Remuneration: £40,000-£45,000 Neg. + £5,000-£7,000 Bonus (guarantee first 3 months) Benefits: Hybrid Car + full benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager – Plumbers Merchants will involve: * Field sales position, selling a distributed range of plumbing fitting, values and accessories * Promoting an extensive portfolio of 3,000+ products * Selling into circa 350+ trading merchant accounts (approx. 180 in total), predominantly independent plumbing and builders merchants, but also buying group members and national merchants * Working in a buddy system with a dedicated internal sales professional * Responsible for £4m+ turnover (£2.4m+ independents) * 70% account management, 30% account development position * Inheriting an area currently performing slightly below budget, due to lack of field sales coverage * 6 calls per day, typically selling into buyers within a trade counter * Utilising an in-house CRM system which is fully accessible for your mobile devices ...
