School Cleaner

Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a School Cleaner to join a friendly and dedicated cleaning team based within a local school.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working in a school environment.

Position: School Cleaner
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 12:30pm (20 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £13.90 per hour
Start Date: 2 November 2026

Key Responsibilities\n

\n
• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas
\n
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting surfaces
\n
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
\n
• Cleaning and sanitising touch points and high-traffic areas
\n
• Restocking cleaning supplies and hygiene products where required
\n
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
\n
• Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to the relevant supervisor
\n
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
\n
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
\n
• Understanding of health and safety practices
\n
• Enhanced DBS check preferred, or willingness to obtain one
\n
