Training & Competence Specialist

Our client, a global engineering and manufacturing business, is looking for a Training & Competence Specialist to develop its competency frameworks and bring these together within its Learning Management System (LMS).This is a contract role for at least 12 months, with the potential to become permanent. The business welcomes interest from both candidates seeking a contract assignment and those who would see it as a potential route into a permanent position. Working closely with managers and technical specialists, you’ll define what competence looks like across different roles, how it should be assessed and what evidence is needed. You’ll then ensure these requirements are properly structured within the LMS, giving the business a clear picture of existing capability and development needs. The role Your main focus will be building and maintaining role-based competency frameworks, matrices and assessment criteria, and ensuring the LMS reflects these accurately.
