• Health Club Duty Manager - Eltham, London* Part Time - 20 hours per week *About Eric Liddell Sports Centre : * The Sports Centre is a friendly and vibrant sports facility based within the grounds of Eltham College and offers a variety of facilities and activities to cater for all fitness needs including a gym, 25 metre swimming pool, dance studio, sports hall, badminton courts, cricket nets, basketball, a climbing wall and a full size astroturf pitch with floodlights. The Sports Centre operates outside of Eltham College school hours.

We are open from 6pm every weekday evening and all day at weekends, with extended weekday hours in the school holidays. *The Role : * We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Duty Manager to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the safe, efficient and successful operation of a busy community leisure facility while developing your leadership and management experience. As Duty Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the centre during your shifts, ensuring the highest standards of customer service, health and safety, facility presentation and operational excellence are maintained at all times.

You will lead and support front-line staff, respond to operational issues and help create a positive experience for all customers and users of the centre. This is a salaried, part-time position with a regular working pattern that may include evenings and weekends.

The role would suit someone seeking flexible part-time employment, looking to combine the position alongside other commitments or taking the next step into a supervisory or management role within the leisure industry. *Requirements : * Previous experience as a Duty Manager is not essential.

However, candidates should be able to demonstrate strong leadership potential, excellent communication skills and the confidence to manage people and situations effectively.

Experience within the leisure, sports, hospitality, recreation or customer service sectors would be advantageous. An NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) is desirable but not essential.

Candidates who do not currently hold this qualification must be willing to undertake the training at the earliest opportunity.

As a minimum requirement, applicants must hold a valid First Aid qualification. *Working Hours / Pattern : * 20 hours per week, split into the following shift patterns : * Tuesday & Thursday evenings – 5.30pm to 10.30pm * Saturday afternoons – 2.30pm to 8.30pm * Sundays – 12.30pm to 4.30pm There are opportunities for additional overtime, subject to operational requirements. *What We Offer : * We offer a supportive and welcoming working environment, opportunities for training and professional development and the chance to gain valuable management experience within a thriving sports and leisure setting.
