Are you someone who enjoys a hands-on role, takes pride in keeping things organised, and wants to contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future?

We're looking for a Waste Operative to join our team. This is a varied and active role where you'll play a key part in supporting waste management activities across site, helping us maintain high environmental standards while delivering an excellent service to our customer. You'll work closely with colleagues and site personnel to ensure waste is managed safely, efficiently, and responsibly.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include:

• Exchanging waste and recycling bins across site.
• Transporting waste back to the Axil waste compound for sorting and processing.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe waste compound.
• Monitoring waste levels and arranging exchanges when required.
• Operating company vehicles and equipment, including towing bins around site.
• Completing daily vehicle and equipment safety inspections.
• Reporting any near misses, incidents, or accidents.
• Working collaboratively with customers, colleagues, and managers.
• Identifying opportunities for improvements and more sustainable ways of working.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and environmental procedures are followed at all times.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from people who:

• Hold a full manual driving licence
• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Can work safely and responsibly
• Are organised and take pride in maintaining high standards
• Communicate well and work effectively as part of a team

The following would be advantageous, but are not essential:

• FLT licence
• Towing experience
• Waste management experience
• Health & Safety knowledge
• Manual handling experience
• Basic IT skills

Full training will be provided where required.
