About the Business A fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, multi-sector family company with a larger logistics element, based in Halesowen, as a Finance Director, paying £80,000 – £120,000 per annum. As the senior finance lead for the group, you'll be the go-to adviser for the family and their Managing Director, with real ownership of the entire finance function. This is a stable, well-invested business offering a visible, influential role where your judgement genuinely shapes where the group goes next. Main Duties: As a Finance Director, your main duties include: * Partnering closely with the Managing Director and shareholders as their lead finance adviser, attending Board meetings and presenting the numbers * Setting and driving the group's financial strategy, covering growth plans, investment in sites, and any acquisitions or disposals * Leading, coaching and motivating a finance team, with clear expectations, defining who owns what and planning for succession * Owning the monthly management accounts for every entity and for the consolidated group, backed by meaningful KPI and site-level reporting * Producing the statutory accounts at year end and running the relationship with the external auditors * Overseeing intercompany balances, recharges and the group consolidation, ensuring everything ties out across the entities * Keeping a robust control framework in place ...
