Joining Arup

Watch this short clip to discover how Arup are shaping a better world and how you could be a part of it!

The Opportunity

We are looking for talented People and Change consultants who are looking to grow their career in the infrastructure sector. Based in London you will join a growing Advisory practice which is specialising in helping drive change and transformation across organisations operating across the built environment, predominantly in Manufacturing, Rail, Highways, Energy, Aviation and Water.

You will be responsible for technical delivery on one or more management consultant projects with oversight and support from Arup Project Manager/Director. Our commitment to technical quality is matched by our commitment to building high quality and enduring relationships with our clients. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day deliverables, listening and understanding our client needs and responding appropriately and pro-actively to feedback.

These exciting opportunities will suit consultants who are keen to take the next step in their career. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients and fellow Arup colleagues from multiple technical disciplines.

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas. You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.

Is this role right for you?

We are seeking consultants with a background in a consulting or in-house environment with experience in two or more of our technical areas (team effectiveness & collaboration, leadership & capability, culture & organisational change, operating model & organisation development). You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Typically, a degree and/or extensive experience in business or related discipline (HR, change management, management consulting or occupational psychology) and chartered or working towards becoming a chartered management consultant.

  • A background in the built environment, predominantly in Water, Energy, Rail, Highways, Aviation and Manufacturing.

  • Project management and delivery skills including financial and risk management.

  • Experience using recognised research and data analysis tools (e.g. surveys, interviews, workforce and organisational data analysis).

  • Capability in developing business proposals for clients by understanding their requirements and drawing together expertise from a multi-disciplinary firm.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application and for the duration of employment. Any offer made will be subject to satisfactory proof of immigration status.

What We Offer you

At Arup, we care about each member’s success, so we can grow together.

Guided by our values, we provide an attractive total reward package that recognises the contribution of each of our members to our shared success. As well as competitive, fair and equitable pay, we offer a career in which all of our members can belong, grow and thrive – through benefits that support health and wellbeing, a wide range of learning opportunities and many possibilities to have an impact through the work they do.

We are owned in trust on behalf of our members, giving us the freedom, with personal responsibility, to set our own direction and choose work that aligns with our purpose and adds to Arup’s legacy. Our members collaborate on ambitious projects to deliver remarkable outcomes for our clients and communities. Profit Share is a key part of our reward, enabling members to share in the results of our collective efforts.

We also provide Private medical insurance, Life assurance, Accident insurance and Income protection cover. In addition, you’ll have access to flexible benefits to help you look after all aspects of your wellbeing and give you the freedom and flexibility to find the best solutions for you, your family, and your individual needs.
