Job description

Are you looking for a part time role, for weekday day shifts? (No weekends!)

Would you love a rewarding role, supporting a teenager in his family home and out in the community?

Come and join Active Assistance.

What you'll be doing:

We are expanding our client base and have a new client in Swindon.

Our 17 year old client has cerebral palsy and autism. He lives at home with his parents and siblings.

The focus of this role is to grow independence and support daily activities to enable him to safely access the community. Our client enjoys reading, gaming, music and playing wheelchair basketball.

We require candidates that hold a full UK drivers licence to drive the client's mobility vehicle.

Shifts:

  • Day shifts - weekdays only
  • Term time: evening shifts 4pm-8pm on a tues/weds/thurs and 1 long 12hr day shift on a Friday 8am-8pm
  • School holidays: shifts increase to weekdays 12 hr shifts - so more hours in the school holidays

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.

What we can offer you:

  • Up to £14 per hour (depending on experience) - you’ll also receive an additional 14.07% holiday pay on every hour worked
  • Advanced monthly rotas
  • Excellent Induction Training
  • Ongoing support from our Children's Care Manager
  • Paid DBS Check
  • A Nest Personal Pension account
  • We recognise outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme
  • Refer a Friend Scheme and earn yourself up to £1000 by recommending someone you know
  • ……and, of course, the support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams so that you can really develop your career with Active Assistance

At Active Assistance we want everyone to feel welcome and supported. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment or interview process, just let us know and we’d be very happy to discuss this with you.
