Role Overview
As the School IT Technician you will help maintain the schools IT infrastructure provide technical support to staff and students and ensure that computers networks and other digital resources remain operational. You will play an important role in resolving technical issues efficiently and supporting the effective use of technology throughout the school.
The successful candidate will be confident diagnosing technical problems maintaining equipment and delivering a helpful and professional service to users with varying levels of IT knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support to staff and students.
Diagnose and resolve hardware software and connectivity issues.
Install configure and maintain computers printers and other IT equipment.
Assist with maintaining the schools network infrastructure and user accounts.
Support the setup and maintenance of classroom technology and audiovisual equipment.
Monitor IT equipment and report recurring faults or technical concerns.
Maintain accurate records of technical issues repairs and equipment.
Assist with software updates system upgrades and routine maintenance.
Follow relevant data protection cybersecurity and safeguarding procedures.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure technology supports teaching and learning effectively.
