Gate Operative

Location – Sittingbourne, ME10 2TD

Hours – Week 1 - Monday to Friday 6am – 6pm. Week 2 - Monday – Thursday 6pm – 6am. Week 3 – Off. Every 6 weeks - Friday night 6pm to Midnight.

We’re currently looking to recruit a Northgate Operative who will be responsible for the health and safety of arriving drivers onto site. In this role you will ensure the drivers are wearing the correct PPE, ensure the presented trailer is fit for purpose and the correct loading and despatch documentation is issued.

As the first point of contact you will always treat all visiting drivers with respect and curtesy; maintaining a safe working environment and promoting excellence in customer service. As part of the role, you will also ensure warehouse operation targets and efficiencies are achieved, by monitoring the day to day information from the operators about damage and losses associated with the warehouse operations.

As an Apleona Northgate Operative, we’re looking for:

  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Positive manner with colleagues and management
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility to support the team during absence and holidays etc
  • Ability to work alone when required
  • Maths and English skills, speaking English to a good standard
