This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, Monday to Friday working with no weekends, a choice of morning or afternoon shifts, modern 23-plate vehicles and ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position. £17.08–£21.35 Per Hour | Monday to Friday | No Weekends | AM & PM Shifts | Weekly Pay | Paid Induction | Temp-to-Perm Opportunities This position involves trunking and shunting operations, making it ideal for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for consistent work and long-term opportunities. Applicants with previous experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Trunking Driver, Shunter Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver are encouraged to apply. Shifts • Monday to Friday • AM and PM shifts available • Morning start times between 4:00am and 6:00am • Afternoon start times between 2:00pm and 4:00pm • No weekend working Rates of Pay • £17.08 per hour for hours worked between 6:00am and 6:00pm • £21.35 per hour for hours worked between 6:00pm and 6:00am • Weekly pay • Overtime available Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Weekly pay • Ongoing long-term work • Monday to Friday working with no weekends • Modern 23-plate vehicles • Three-day paid company induction • Overtime opportunities • Free secure on-site parking • On-site canteen facilities • Training and development opportunities • Potential permanent employment • Access to Employee Assistance Programme • Employee Recognition and Referral Programmes • Shop discounts and wellbeing initiatives • On-site Mental Health First Aiders • Comprehensive pension scheme • Cycle to Work Scheme • 33 days' holiday once permanent, aligned with factory shutdowns Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include: • Safely operating Category C+E vehicles • Completing three to five trunk runs per day when working on trunking operations • Carrying out yard and depot-to-depot movements during shunting operations • Operating curtain-sided trailers and securing loads safely, including awkward loads • Completing deliveries safely and on time • Conducting vehicle checks and reporting defects • Maintaining accurate driving and delivery records • Communicating effectively with the transport team • Complying with drivers' hours, Working Time Directive and road transport regulations • Following all company health and safety procedures Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • Valid UK Category C+E driving licence • Valid Driver CPC Card • Valid Digital Tachograph Card • Minimum six months' continuous HGV Class 1 driving experience • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements • No major endorsement codes • Good knowledge of drivers' hours and road transport legislation • Strong communication and time-management skills • Professional and reliable attitude Training Provided • Driving assessment required before starting • Three-day paid company induction • Full industry-related training • Ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply If you are an experienced
