Role Overview
A welcoming secondary school in Dudley is seeking an inspiring dedicated and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to join their supportive Mathematics department this full-time role you will deliver dynamic structured Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 (A Level) depending on experience. You will build pupils confidence in problem-solving foster analytical thinking and support students of all abilities in reaching their full academic potential. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers are equally encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Plan prepare and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in alignment with the National Curriculum and GCSE exam board specifications.
Apply mastery teaching techniques and varied instructional methods to make abstract mathematical concepts accessible and practical.
Track student progress through regular formative and summative assessments providing targeted interventions to close achievement gaps and boost GCSE attainment.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of SEND and EAL students while providing extension tasks for high attainers aiming for top grades.
Collaborate with department staff to share resources develop schemes of learning and assist with extra-curricular maths support and revision sessions.
Key Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mathematics or a related subject (e.g. Physics Engineering Finance).
Recognized UK teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS.
Proven teaching experience or strong placement record in secondary Mathematics with solid knowledge of current GCSE frameworks.
Excellent classroom management interpersonal and organizational skills.
Legal right to work in the UK.
