In-House Legal Counsel – Commercial / IP Location: Sheffield
PQE: 2–6 years An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Legal Counsel to join an established and growing business in Sheffield. This is a great opportunity for a solicitor looking to move in-house, or an existing in-house lawyer looking for their next challenge, to work closely with the business and provide commercially focused legal support across a broad range of matters. The role will have a strong focus on commercial contracts and intellectual property, offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the business. The Role

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts.
• Advising on contractual terms, risks and commercial arrangements.
• Providing legal support on intellectual property matters, including IP rights, licensing and protection.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to provide practical, commercially minded legal advice.
• Identifying and managing legal risks while supporting the wider business objectives.
• Supporting the development and improvement of legal processes, policies and procedures.
• Assisting with wider legal matters as required.

About You

• Qualified solicitor with between 2 and 6 years' PQE.
• Experience in commercial contracts is essential.
• Exposure to intellectual property matters would be advantageous.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• A commercial approach, with the ability to provide clear and pragmatic advice.
• Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels and managing a varied workload.
