Boatyard Operative Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 39 hours per week, with odd weekend work Salary: Dependent on experience We are looking for a reliable, practical and motivated Boatyard Operative to join our professional team at a busy marine facility in Gosport. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the safe, efficient and professional operation of the boatyard. The successful candidate will assist with vessel handling, machinery operation, site maintenance and customer service, helping to ensure that facilities remain safe, well-maintained and welcoming. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong commitment to health and safety, and a willingness to develop their skills within a marine environment. Key Responsibilities of Boatyard Operative Vessel Handling and Boatyard Operations Assist with the lifting, launching, recovery and movement of vessels. Support the safe storage of vessels ashore using appropriate cradles, blocks and stands. Carry out high-pressure washing of vessels and associated areas. Assist with boat towing and pontoon movements as required. Follow established operating procedures and safety requirements during all boatyard activities Operate boat hoists, mobile cranes, self-propelled boat transporters, forklifts and tow boats, subject to appropriate training and authorisation.
