Job Description

TPF Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounts & Tax Senior to join a fantastic accountancy practice based in Ramsgate.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong practice background looking for a varied role across accounts and tax, with regular client contact and the opportunity to build on their existing experience.

As an Accounts & Tax Senior, you’ll prepare accounts and tax returns for a range of clients, manage your workload and work closely with senior colleagues to deliver an excellent service.

Responsibilities

As an Accounts & Tax Senior, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
  
• Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
  
• Preparing personal tax returns and assisting with tax compliance.
  
• Supporting clients with bookkeeping and VAT requirements where needed.
  
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and answer accounts and tax queries.
  
• Managing deadlines to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
  
• Supporting junior colleagues and discussing technical queries with senior team members.
  

Requirements

To be considered for this Accounts & Tax Senior opportunity, you’ll have:

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice, covering accounts preparation and tax.
  
• A good understanding of year end accounts, corporation tax and personal tax compliance.
  
• Confidence using accountancy software.
  
• The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
  
• Good communication skills and confidence building client relationships.
  
• Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to resolving queries.
  
• A friendly, collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
  

This Accounts & Tax Senior role could suit an experienced Senior looking for a fresh opportunity or a strong Semi Senior ready to take on greater responsibility.

Benefits

• £40,000 to £50,000, depending on experience.

Requirements
Preferably qualified ACA/ACCA or by experience. 5-10+ years experience within an accountancy practice experience. Experience preparing accounts and tax returns. Experience of QuickBooks, Xero or Sage would be advantageous.
