We are recruiting for a Chef to join a busy and professional contract catering operation in Newton Abbot.
\n
This is an excellent opportunity for a Chef who enjoys producing high-quality food in a structured environment while benefiting from a consistent 4-day working week.
Working Pattern\n
Sunday: 07:00 - 18:00
\n
Monday: 07:00 - 18:00
\n
Tuesday: 07:00 - 18:00
\n
Wednesday: 12:00 - 18:00
\n
Flexibility will be required to provide additional cover for staff sickness and holidays when needed.
\n
Key Responsibilities\n
✅ Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality meals
\n
✅ Maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards
\n
✅ Supporting stock control and kitchen organisation
\n
✅ Ensuring food is prepared and served to company standards
\n
✅ Working effectively as part of a professional catering team
\n
✅ Assisting with menu delivery and daily kitchen operations
\n
✅ Following all HACCP, food safety, and health & safety procedures
\n
What We're Looking For\n
✔ Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, Chef de Partie, or Sous Chef
\n
✔ Experience within contract catering, education, healthcare, or commercial catering environments is desirable
\n
✔ Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
\n
✔ A positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude
\n
✔ Knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance standards
\n
✔ Flexibility to support additional shifts when required
\n
