Description: Time Critical Operator (AOG / Express) – Night Shift – Heathrow – circa £40,000 Headford Group is recruiting

two experienced Time Critical / Express Operators

for an established independent freight forwarder based at Heathrow. This is a night-shift role on a 4 on 4 off pattern, handling AOG, NFO and express shipments end to end, including import and export customs entries.

Shift pattern 19:00–07:00, 4 nights on, 4 nights off Averages 38.5 hours per week over an 8-week rota

Key responsibilities Coordinating multimodal express and time-critical shipments (air and road), import and export Preparing and submitting import and export customs entry declarations Self-auditing entries to ensure HMRC compliance and accuracy Processing HMRC queries through to resolution, minimising duty and tax liability Managing the operational inbox and resolving customer service issues overnight Accurate job costing and timely sales invoicing Liaising with airlines, hauliers, co-loaders and transport providers Documenting client processes and requirements

Essential requirements Proven experience in AOG, NFO or express / time-critical freight forwarding Import

export operational experience Import

and

export customs entry experience (submitting entries yourself) Good knowledge of HMRC customs procedures Confident with Excel and freight forwarding systems Mature, professional and calm under pressure Willing to work permanent nights on a 4 on 4 off rota
