Job overview

An exciting opportunity for an experienced senior Allied Health Professional to help shape the future of cancer care at GOSH through the development of the new Children's Cancer Centre.

Working as part of the Cancer Transformation Team, you will lead the development of the AHP and rehabilitation strategy for the Children's Cancer Centre, ensuring future models of care, workforce plans and service redesign are informed by AHP expertise and the needs of children, young people and families.

You will work across clinical, operational and corporate teams to influence future services,
support operational readiness and ensure AHP, workforce and patient experience considerations are embedded throughout programme delivery.

We are seeking a senior HCPC-registered AHP with experience of service improvement,
transformation or change management, strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence across professional and organisational boundaries. Applications are welcomed from all HCPC-registered Allied Health Professional backgrounds with the experience and leadership skills required for the role.

This is a unique opportunity to influence future cancer services and make a lasting difference to the experience and outcomes of children, young people and families.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Natasha Hare- Programme

Director Cancer Transformation, Dr David O’Connor - Clinical Lead Cancer Transformation or Libby Hough - Chief AHP.

Main duties of the job

The Children’s Cancer Centre (CCC) is a major Trust programme bringing together clinical transformation, operational redesign, workforce change, research integration, digital development and operational readiness for the new building.

The Lead Allied Health Professional for Cancer Transformation will lead the development of the AHP and rehabilitation strategy for the Cancer Transformation Programme, ensuring AHP, patient experience and workforce considerations are fully embedded within programme development and delivery. The postholder will influence strategic decision-making and future models of care across cancer services, ensuring proposed changes are clinically credible, deliverable and aligned to programme objectives.

Working alongside the wider Cancer Transformation Team, the postholder will lead the AHP contribution to future service design, workforce planning and clinical engagement. They will work with clinical and operational teams to ensure the AHP, workforce, quality and patient experience requirements are reflected in operational readiness planning.
